Daniel Hope at Bristol Proms
Air, A Baroque Journey
Thursday 31st July, 19:30
The Bristol Proms festival, inspired by the hugely popular concerts held in the city in the 1840s, presentes music performances in ways never done before by combining world-class classical music artists with cutting-edge digital technologies.
Following the riotous success of his 4 Seasons last year, Daniel Hope returns to weave a spoken and musical journey through the Baroque period, leading up to 1766, the date when our unique theatre was built.
No one who saw his performance last year of Max Richter's re-composition of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons will ever forget it. He is returning this year with something very different: a dynamic journey through the music of the Baroque period, especially re-imagined and inventively staged for Bristol Old Vic's beautiful theatre which he fell in love with last year.
