As part of our Musical Moments series, cellist Santiago Cañón-Valencia and pianist Naoko Sonoda interpret the brief yet deeply affecting Sydämeni laulu (Song of My Heart) by Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara. Originally connected to his opera Aleksis Kivi, the music was later reworked by the composer for cello and piano. Cañón-Valencia and Sonoda bring warmth, clarity, and balance to the piece, shaping its calm, meditative atmosphere with great sensitivity.
