On his upcoming album,&nbsp;Andris Nelsons is joined by the Wiener Philharmoniker to present Mahler's 5th Symphony, recorded in 2022. The performance captures the orchestra&rsquo;s luminous sound and Nelsons&rsquo; deeply human approach to Mahler&rsquo;s music &ndash; by turns intimate, ecstatic, and transcendent.&nbsp;&nbsp;
This album, to be released digitally and on vinyl on 1 May, is now available for pre-order. Listen to a pre-release track of the famous 4th movement Adagietto.
This stand-alone release launches the long-awaited complete full Mahler symphonic cycle, which comes out on 23 October and promises to be one of the most significant Mahler projects of our time.&nbsp;
