We announce the upcoming release of pianist and conductor Daniel Barenboim&rsquo;s complete digital A-Z library of his extraordinary solo piano recordings.&nbsp;&nbsp;
The collection highlights the musical development of without a doubt one of the most important musical personalities of our time throughout his extensive collaboration with DG, which began in 1972 and honors a career that spans over 70 years. It presents his complete solo recordings on DG and Westminster &mdash; expanding on the 2017 physical edition to include all recordings since then: Pieces by Alb&eacute;niz, Bart&oacute;k, Dvorak and Debussy among others, as well as his 2020 recordings of Beethoven's piano sonatas. Listeners can follow the artistic journey of Barenboim from his early recordings as a 13-year-old playing J.C. Bach, Brahms, Kabalevsky, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Pergolesi, and Shostakovich until today: a classical music world star whose repertoire and skills seem limitless.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Taken from the album Brahms, released digitally on 2 February, listen to a pre-release track of a newly tracked recording of the Expressivo from the composer&rsquo;s Variations &amp; Fugue on a Theme by Handel. All seven albums of the digital library are released consecutively from 30 January to 5 February and are now available for pre-order.&nbsp;
