The Armenian composer and pianist Marie Awadis releases her debut Deutsche Grammophon album on 6 September. It consists of 12 original piano &eacute;tudes performed by the composer herself and bridges the worlds of classical and neo-classical music. Awadis, who has been influenced by her multifaceted and multilingual background, says about her compositional process: &ldquo;For me, the ideal way to compose is to combine my own intuitive approach with the rhythmic precision of American minimalism, the spirituality of European minimalism and the emotions of Armenian music.&rdquo;&nbsp;
