Pianist Bruce Liu announces his upcoming second DG-album The Seasons, on which he breaks ground with the supposedly well known. Following his enormous success with his first DG-album Waves, a tribute to French composers and nature themes, Liu puts his focus on Tchaikovsky’s and his own relationship with music. “For me, this is a moment to explore some personal emotion,” the pianist says about the album, which envelops the Russian composer’s intimate and profoundly poetic language with musical breathing space.
Listen to a first pre-release track of Tchaikovsky’s June, which showcases Liu’s bewitching lightness of touch. The full album will be released digitally, on CD and Vinyl on 1 November.
