On their upcoming album, recent GRAMMY winner&nbsp;Andris Nelsons&nbsp;and the&nbsp;Gewandhausorchester&nbsp;Leipzig&nbsp;perform a compilation of Mendelssohn&rsquo;s Oratorios and Symphonies.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
The album pays homage to Leipzig, the city at the core of Mendelssohn&rsquo;s artistic identity. The release further marks the first full-length rendition of &ldquo;Paulus,&rdquo; a remarkably formative score that had so far been absent from the DG catalogue. Nelsons is joined by a stellar cast of soloists for the vocal works including Andr&egrave; Schuen, Golda Schultz and Georg Zeppenfeld.&nbsp;
Listen to a third pre-release track, the moving&nbsp;Overture&nbsp;of Mendelssohn&rsquo;s Paulus, Op. 36, Pt. 1. The full album is released digitally and as a 7CD Box Set on 27 March and is available for pre-order.&nbsp;
