You know at once you are in safe hands. Hers is a version of this much-recorded concerto I like very much indeed, not least for her subtle and judicious use of portamento throughout . . . an unexpectedly moving performance of a transcription of 'Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix' from "Samson et Dalila". An equally winning account of the Op 16b Suite follows . . . charming . . . she is so thoroughly in tune with [Offenbach¿s world] . . .

[Saint-Saëns / Cello Concerto no. 1]: si les premières notes de l'Allegro non troppo du concerto rassurent déjà sur la qualité du discours, la puissance et la retenue du Molto allegro conclusif achèvent de convaincre . . . L'extrait "Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix" de "Samson et Dalila", transcrit pour violoncelle et orchestre, ne pourrait mieux mériter son titre, tant ici le coeur semble effectivement s'accorder à la voix de l'instrument sous les doigts de Camille Thomas . . . [Saint-Saëns / Suite for Cello & Orchestra]: elle présente encore une fois le superbe jeu de Thomas, notamment dans la qualité de la double-voix de la Gavotte, puis dans l'élégance de la Romance.
