Die Pianisten Martha Argerich und Georgijs Osokins pr&auml;sentieren eine seltene Aufnahme von Arvo P&auml;rts Hymn to a Great City, die sie im Rahmen des 90. Geburtstags des Komponisten ve&ouml;ffentlichen.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Die Idee kam ihnen beim Martha Argerich Festival in Hamburg im Jahr 2025, nach Osokins&rsquo; Auftritt, bei dem er P&auml;rts Solost&uuml;cke sowie Rachmaninows Zweites Klaviertrio mit Gidon Kremer und Giedrė Dirvanauskaitė spielte. Am selben Abend entschied sich Argerich &ndash; die vorher noch nie P&auml;rts Musik aufgef&uuml;hrt hat &ndash; das St&uuml;ck f&uuml;r zwei Klaviere aufzunehmen.&nbsp;
Diese spontane n&auml;chtliche Aufnahmesession in der Hamburger Laeiszhalle transformiert P&auml;rts Werk zu mehr als eine &ldquo;Hymne an eine gro&szlig;e Stadt&rdquo;: Sie wird eine Hymne an einen gro&szlig;artigen Komponisten und zugleich ein Zeichen der Wertsch&auml;tzung von Argerich f&uuml;r ihren jungen Kollegen, dessen intensive Auseinandersetzung mit P&auml;rts Werk gro&szlig;e Anerkennung findet.&nbsp;
