MOZART Andrè Schuen

The baritone Andr&egrave; Schuen releases a further pre-release track of his upcoming album&nbsp;Mozart, a beautifully curated project of Mozart arias, duets and songs. The album celebrates Schuen&rsquo;s deep and longstanding relationship to the composer and his birth- and creative place Salzburg.
On the album, Schuen is joined by the Mozarteum orchestra of Mozart&rsquo;s hometown Salzburg with its chief conductor Roberto Gonz&aacute;les-Monjas, and further collaborates with mandolinist Avi Avital, pianist Daniel Heide and soprano Nikola Hillebrand.&nbsp;
&ldquo;This album is conceived as my personal journey with Mozart&rsquo;s music,&rdquo; Schuen states. &ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t just want to present a list of Mozart&rsquo;s arias for baritone and bass. Instead, I wanted to create interesting links and transitions that would draw the listeners in and establish a dramatic arc for the sequence as a whole.&rdquo;&nbsp;
Listen to the second pre-release track, a moving rendition of Mozart&rsquo;s intimate Abendempfindung, K. 523, for which he is joined by his longstanding duo partner Daniel Heide. The full album will be released digitally and on CD on 4 July.
