We announce the release of Andreas Ottensamer’s new album Blue Hour: Mendelssohn Edition.
Ottensamer comments: “Mendelssohn’s Songs without words have been part of my musical life for a very long time. As a kid I really loved listening to them! Arranging some of them for my Blue Hour album, opened up a wonderful world to me, and with the beginning of lockdown a few months ago, I again took the time to re-visit and to enlarge the collection of these arrangements. Now I’m taking the next step by arranging pieces for clarinet and strings discovering a universe of possibilities. Our very personal collection of Mendelssohn’s Songs without words hopefully brings to life different sides of this wonderful music.”
The album released digitally today, 18 June 2021.
