Lang Lang to release Piano Book 2 – Modern Encores available digitally on 9 October

Lang Lang’s new EP Piano Book 2 – Modern Encores will be released digitally on 9 October 2026. Following the Classical Encores EP, it expands Piano Book 2 with five works spanning anime, film, contemporary classical music and musical theatre.
The EP opens with Yoshiki Mizuno’s “Blue Bird” from Naruto, arranged for piano by Telleria. It is followed by Hans Zimmer’s “Cornfield Chase” from Interstellar, a new solo version of Tony Ann’s “ICARUS” – which links back to the successful Piano Book 2 duet with the composer himself, Joep Beving’s “Sleeping Lotus” and Richard Rodgers' “My Favorite Things”, arranged for piano by Hamilton.
The first single “Blue Bird” is released today 18 September 2026. The EP’s next single “Cornfield Chase” will be released on 9 October alongside the new collection of works.
