Following the global success of Piano Book and Piano Book 2, Lang Lang continues the journey by announcing his new EP: Piano Book 2 – Classical Encores, featuring six more beloved piano favourites. 

From the soaring lyricism of Rachmaninov’s Vocalise to the light-hearted call of the cuckoo in Le coucou by Daquin these timeless miniatures are cherished by learners and concert audiences alike — brought to life with Lang Lang’s signature passion, poetry, and brilliance. 

This EP brings together some of the most expressive and brilliant gems in the piano repertoire. Rachmaninov’s hauntingly beautiful Vocalise (arr. Kocsis) opens the program with deep emotion. Burgmüller’s sparkling La tarantelle and Grieg’s joyful Wedding Day at Troldhaugen highlight the energy and character that make the piano so captivating. Tchaikovsky’s charming Neapolitan Song adds a warm, lyrical touch, followed by the timeless romance of Liszt’s Liebestraum No. 3, one of the most beloved piano works ever written. The work ends playfully with Le coucou by Daquin.
