Blind Japanese star pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii announces his upcoming second album for DG, on which he turns to the emotionally strongest sound worlds of Russian Romanticism.&nbsp;
Together with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra under Domingo Hindoyan, Nobu performs Rachmaninoff&rsquo;s Piano Concerto No. 3, one of the most technically demanding works in the piano literature. This is complemented by carefully selected solo piano transcriptions of works by two of Rachmaninoff&rsquo;s most important forerunners, Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Piano transcriptions are fascinating because the arrangers are usually outstanding pianists. They know exactly what is needed to get the maximum out of the instrument. It&rsquo;s always a pleasure to play these pieces,&rdquo; says Nobu.&nbsp;
