Following on from her recent album For Clara, featuring Brahms’s three Op. 117 Intermezzi and his Op. 32 songs, as well as Schumann’s Kreisleriana, pianist Hélène Grimaud is now sharing her recordings of some of Brahms’s other intermezzi. Discover the second of the composer’s 6 Piano Pieces, Op. 118, written in 1893, 40 years after Brahms had first met Robert Schumann and his wife, Clara, to whom this set is dedicated.
