DREAMSCAPES Eunike Tanzil | Deutsche Grammophon

On her upcoming EP Dreamscapes, composer-pianist-producer Eunike Tanzil presents six pieces that convey a sense of narrative invention and excitement. 

It follows the success of her DG debut album The First of Everything and was again recorded with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and conductor Anna Handler, with Tanzil herself on solo piano. 

“My new EP was inspired by the sounds of my childhood – melodies that first made me dream of becoming a composer. Growing up in a city without live orchestras, my earliest introduction to orchestral music came through animated films,” says Tanzil. “Dreamscapes brings me back to those early memories of being a child again, with music that captures optimism and hope. I used the orchestra as a canvas to paint my imagination, like soaring through the clouds or a dog chasing butterflies.”
