Recording on our partner label Carus, the Vocalensemble Rastatt and baroque orchestra Les Favorites conducted by Holger Speck release their album Friede auf Erden featuring renditions of three of Bach’s reconstructed cantatas.  

While these unfinished works have survived only as fragments, reconstructions of the three cantatas Ehre sei Gott in der Höhe (BWV 197.1), Alles, was von Gott geboren (BWV 80.1) and Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied (BWV 190.1) have recently been published by Carus in an attempt to reveal a previously unknown side to Bach. With their nuanced interpretations, the Vocalensemble Rastatt, the baroque orchestra Les Favorites and conductor Holger Speck show how these works might have sounded under the hand of the master. To achieve this, they are joined by soloists Miriam Feuersinger, Terry Wey, Florian Sievers and Sebastian Noack.
