Following the release of his GRAMMY-winning project BIG MONEY, Jon Batiste returns with three new pure piano albums.  Black Mozart, which is released on Decca Records U.S, reimagines some of the composer’s most beloved melodies through the lens of influences from Black American styles. The result is a vibrant conversation without words – not about genre, but pure expression.    Monk Meditations and Monk Movements is released on Verve, with Batiste returning to some of the music that first shaped his voice at the piano, expanding upon the majestic, contemplative beauty at the heart of some of Thelonious Monk’s most iconic works.    Immersed since early childhood in New Orleans’ rich musical heritage, Batiste trained as a classical pianist and received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in piano from The Juilliard School.    The album is available now on CD and Vinyl.
