Canadian star pianist Jan Lisiecki announces his upcoming album, on which he revisits Mozart’s oeuvre more than a decade after he devoted his DG debut album to the composer. 

Celebrating Mozart’s 270th birthday anniversary, the album features the Piano Concertos Nos. 9 & 22. “Within the extensive collection of 27 concertos composed for the piano by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, these two concertos, both In the key of E flat major, emerge as singular masterpieces,” says the pianist. “Engaging with the genius of Mozart’s music is a true privilege. It is characterized by purity, elegance, emotional depth, intellectual challenge, and profound rewards.”  

On the album, Lisiecki is joined by the Barmberger Symphoniker and conductor Mandred Honeck, who share the pianist’s affinity and respect for Mozart and together express the phrasing and beauty of these works.
