MY AMERICAN STORY: NORTH

For his two upcoming albums Star pianist Daniil Trifonov embarks on a very personal journey across America’s continents. Both entitled My American Story, the first album North takes in a wide range of repertoire from the US, the country where Trifonov has spent almost half of his life. The works, recorded with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and The Philadephia Orchestra, range from jazz and swing to modernism, minimalism and popular soundtracks. It features a collection of pieces that reflect the eclectic variety of his experiences in his adopted home. The second of the two albums South will showcase the music of Latin America, a region Trifonov has also come to call home.
