Romanian violin virtuoso Cornelia Vasile (1947 – 2010) was concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra Graunke in Munich (today Munich Symphony Orchestra). She had a special inclination for Paganini’s music which she played with great ease and an amazing technique. Her new album featuring works by Paganini and Ysaÿe is released digitally as part of DG’s debut series, which presents first or very early recordings by artists who went on to build considerable careers.
