Released on our joint label Verbier Festival Gold, we announce our latest album of Simon Rattle conducting the Verbier Festival- and Festival Chamber Orchestras in live performances of Beethoven’s Symphonies Nos. 3 & 5. In a captivating combination of brisk pacing and nuanced artistry, Rattle and the musicians offer a Beethoven interpretation that, while celebratory, still resonates to the issues of our time. For the performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, the orchestras and their conductor are joined by superstars Pablo Ferrández, Leonidas Kavakos, Klaus Mäkelä, Lahav Shani and Gábor-Takács-Nagy as instrumentalists.
