Sarah Willis and The Sarahbanda are getting into the Christmas mood with their new single: an instrumental version of the holiday favorite The Christmas Song, which places Harold Madrigal Frías’s trumpet solo firmly in the spotlight. The arrangement sets the slow, evocative melody against a gently swaying Cuban groove, shaped by the dialogue between soloist and the band’s characteristic sound. The piece including the original vocal part was also featured on Willis and The Sarahbanda’s album Cuban Christmas.
