The Texas-based minimalist instrumental duo Balmorhea (Rob Lowe and Michael A. Muller) announce their upcoming album The Trap, on which they present their soundtrack for a movie of the same name, written and directed by actress Lena Heady (Game of Thrones) that premiered in October 2023.
A movie about a woman shut off from the world that is brought back to life through a friendship with a damaged young man, the music "is very honest and intimate; gravitating mostly around piano and vibraphone with atmospheric guitars and analog synthesizers completing the sonic image,” says the duo.
