edge music was created as a fourth Deutsche Grammophon imprint (joining the Yellow Label, Archiv Produktion, and 20/21) to more clearly identify the old-yet-new musical path that DG has been pursuing. "Old" in the sense that - from Ravi Shankar to Roby Lakatos - Deutsche Grammophon has long been an explorer of the entire world of music (Polydor was originally DG's pop and jazz label); "new" because DG has recently revived its interest in bringing you an even broader spectrum of great music.
