. . . le Trio de Brahms se fait caressant et presque intérieur grâce au piano du jeune Daniil Trifonov . . . même verdict pour le Quintette pour piano de [Dvorák]: le clavier enfantin de Kissin fait merveille . . . la reine Argerich dans le Beethoven (n°2) donne une lecon de phrasé et d'élégance rentrée, de ciselure d'une rare intelligence sensuelle, à la fois vive (mozartienne), et crépitante . . . D'une irrésistible verve, entre facétie et virtuosité jazzy au swing déboutonné idéal (allegro / Snowflakes), le piano tout en humour et légèreté de Mikhail Pletnev ressuscite l'entrain hollywoodien d'une partition pleine de délire comique et d'exquise tendresse (Lyrical waltz / moderato). La prise est plus récente (juillet 2013), réussie grâce à un maître des équilibres instrumentaux et des rythmes dansants, Kent Nagano. Cet enregistrement méritait évidemment de paraître dans la sélection d'excellence de Verbier pour témoigner de ses 25 ans de ligne artistique . . . [Tchaikovsky / Symphony no. 6]: [Nagano] cisèle la matière sonore, la sculpte en direct avec une sensualité parfois âpre et toujours d'une tension supérieure en liaison avec l'urgence de visions en panique (excellent premier mouvement / fièvre du second allegro bouillonnant de sève printanière) . . .
