On his upcoming album Constellations, Latvian pianist Georgijs Osokins presents a beautifully structured narrative inspired by the mysterious nature of starlight, unfolding from nightfall to daybreak.
The programme places masterpieces by Chopin, Schumann, Brahms and Wagner in intimate dialogue with rare gems by Estonian composer and amateur astronomer Urmas Sisask (1960–2022). In highlighting Sisask’s work, Osokins continues the mission of his acclaimed DG debut album For Arvo, showcasing the exceptional but under-celebrated musical heritage of the Baltic region.
“I have always been fascinated by the mystery of the universe – that starry sky above us, a beauty that persists even beyond the event horizon,” says Osokins.
The full album will be released digitally on 6 November.
