CARLOS KLEIBER

A new version of our edition of Carlos Kleiber’s complete DG recordings is released internationally today, featuring an additional Blu-ray audio disc of all the recordings in Dolby Atmos. As before, the edition continues to include 12 CDs of all recordings and a Blu-ray audio disc of all recordings in HD audio quality. Carlos Kleiber made few recordings but they are among the greatest treasures of the classical catalogue, gloriously showcasing his characteristics of intellectual rigour, passion and perfectionism. In 2011, 100 members of his own profession voted him “the greatest conductor of all time”, but he also remains the personification of the genius recluse.
