Celebrating her 85th birthday today, pianist Martha Argerich releases a digital collection bringing together her complete recordings for DG and Philips – spanning 65 years of recording history, from 1961 to present. The recordings are presented across six digital albums that are arranged A-Z by composer. They include her complete solo, concerto, duo and chamber music, featuring landmark performances with Claudio Abbado, Gideon Kremer, Mischa Maisky, Nelson Freire, and Daniel Barenboim. Highlights of the collection are the celebrated Ravel and Prokofiev Concertos, extensive chamber music recordings, outstanding Rachmaninoff, Carnival of the Animals, and much more. The comprehensive six volumes perfectly showcase the artistic legacy of one of the world’s greatest pianists and her long-standing association with DG.
