Deutsche Grammophon presents the much-anticipated second instalment of Fabio Luisi and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra’s project to record the complete symphonies and concertos of Carl Nielsen. Featuring Symphonies Nos. 1 and 3, this album follows on from the first release, which comprised Nos. 4 and 5. After the third instalment has been issued digitally, a 3-CD edition containing all six symphonies will be released to coincide with the artists’ two-week Nielsen concert series at Copenhagen’s DR Koncerthuset in April 2023.
