CARL NIELSEN

Following their acclaimed recordings of the composer’s six symphonies (“thrilling enough to turn you into a Nielsen addict” – The Guardian), the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Fabio Luisi now round off their Nielsen cycle with an album presenting his Violin, Flute and Clarinet Concertos. Joining the orchestra and its principal conductor are soloists Bomsori (violin), Ulla Miilmann (flute) and Johnny Teyssier (clarinet).

DG’s 2023 release of Nielsen’s violin, flute and clarinet concertos featuring Fabio Luisi conducting the Danish National Symphony Orchestra and Bomsori as soloist for the violin concerto beside Ulla Miilmann (flute concerto) and Johnny Teyssier (clarinet concerto) has won a 2024 BBC Music Magazine Award in the category concerto recordings. The award winners were announced at a recent ceremony in London. The main categories of the BBC Music Magazine Awards are voted for by the public.
