Released as part of our Musical Moments Series, saxophonist Asya Fateyeva and harpist Luise Enzian revisit the world of Venetian composer Barbara Strozzi in L’Eraclito amoroso. The piece is heard here in Enzian’s own arrangement. Fateyeva takes over the vocal melody on alto saxophone focusing on breath, timing, and expressive suspensions while Enzian’s harp continuo keeps the pulse clear and the ornamentation light.
