VIVALDI Flautino Concerto in C Major, RV 443: II. Largo / Justus Eichhorn | Deutsche Grammophon

We are delighted to announce the start of a collaboration with the 16-year-old German pianist, composer and arranger Justus Eichhorn. His upcoming DG debut album The Source blends exceptional artistry, compelling storytelling and a fresh creative perspective, all deeply rooted in his hometown of Weimar.  

As a preview for the album, Eichhorn presents his arrangement of Vivaldi’s Largo from the Flautino Concerto in C Major, RV. 443. “This wonderful piece by Vivaldi is one that I heard several times at some of the very first concerts I attended and still remember vividly today. I heard it in its original version for solo flute and chamber orchestra. The melody has never left my mind, I find it absolutely magical. I always wanted to play it on the piano, so I made this arrangement for my instrument,” says Eichhorn. 

The full album is released digitally, on CD and on vinyl on 4 September, with the pre-order starting on 10 July.
