Yong Uck Kim has earned a reputation as one of the great violinists of our day. He appeared as a soloist with many of the principal orchestras and was the violinist of the Beaux Arts Trio. In addition to the standard repertoire, Kim has applied his virtuoso technique and interpretive insights to many contemporary works. His upcoming album of works by Bach and Beethoven is released on 30 January as part of DG’s debut series, which presents first or very early recordings by artists who went on to build considerable careers.
