Kari Lövaas was a Norwegian operatic soprano who sang in the ensemble at Dortmund Opera, then at Staatstheater Mainz and performed at international festivals in both opera and concert. She also participated in complete recordings of rarely performed operas. On her upcoming album she sings Lieder by Grieg, Sibelius & Mussorgsky, together with Erik Werba on the piano. The album is released on 30 January as part of DG’s debut series, which presents first or very early recordings by artists who went on to build considerable careers.
