Soprano Emily Pogorelc and pianist Chris Reynolds perform “Summer Night, Riverside” by award-winning New York-based composer and pianist Andrew Hsu. This Musical Moment is one of Hsu’s Teasdale Songs of 2015, a collection of settings of poems by the American writer Sara Teasdale (1884–1933). Here, the narrator conjures distant memories of fragrant, starlit nights by the river and wonders whether young lovers still meet by the water.
