Product Information

Carole Dawn Reinhart (born in 1941) is an American trumpet soloist and Professor Emeritus at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She is recognized as one of the world’s outstanding trumpet soloists, acclaimed not only for her technical ability, but also for tone quality and interpretation. In the 1970s, she moved to Berlin, where she performed with the Deutsche Oper Berlin and built up her solo career with symphony and chamber orchestras, averaging 125 concerts a year, as well as television performances and radio recordings.

Her new album of works for trumpet by Hindemith, Goedicke, Honegger, Pilss, Bozza and Barat is released as part of DG’s debut series, which presents first or very early recordings by artists who went on to build considerable careers.
