Mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital releases his album Song of the Birds. The project expands the repertoire of three already released diversely themed EPs that explore a colourful sequence of music from Southern Italy, the Iberian Peninsula and the Black Sea region.<span data-ccp-props="{&quot;134233117&quot;:false,&quot;134233118&quot;:false,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335557856&quot;:16777215,&quot;335559738&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:0}">&nbsp;
The album was recorded with Avital&rsquo;s new ensemble Between Worlds that challenges the boundaries between classical and folk music. It paints a rich musical portrait of the three regions in bright colours and detailed nuances.
