Product Information
Having recently signed Japanese pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii, universally known as Nobu, we are delighted to gradually reissue the pianist’s extensive classical discography.
Taken from the fourth release batch of the pianist’s discography is this album that presents Rachmaninoff’s cinematic second Piano Concerto. The work, which Nobu performs repeatedly in concert and recorded more than once, is one of the pianist’s favourite works. This studio recording with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester was made prior to Nobu’s spectacular gold medal win at the prestigious Van Cliburn Competition. It is conducted by Yutaka Sado, one of Japan’s leading conductors and a former assistant to Leonard Bernstein and Seiji Ozawa.
