
Eric Lu (USA) Wins XIX International Chopin Piano Competition
Deutsche Grammophon and the Fryderyk Chopin Institute renew their collaboration for the 19th International Frédéric Chopin Competition, presenting live recordings from this year’s winner, Eric Lu from the USA.
The first single, Chopin’s Waltz in C-sharp minor, Op. 64 No. 2, is set for release on 24 October, three days after the announcement. The full album will be released on 21 November on CD and digital formats.
Since its founding, the competition has launched many of today’s foremost pianists – including DG artists Maurizio Pollini (1960), Martha Argerich (1965), Krystian Zimerman (1975), Rafał Blechacz (2005), Seong-Jin Cho (2015) and Bruce Liu (2021) – and continues to attract exceptional young musicians from around the world.
